Spanner Christmas Gathering

So last night the Festivities began. Christmas has officially begun. The Spanner Clan got together for our annual Prime Rib dinner followed by a white elephant gift exchange. It was a blast...We held it early this year so more people could attend. This year we had it at Uncle Buck and Aunt Mary's house. Patrick was home from Eastern, but Meghan and Sean had to work so they were stuck in Portland, and Greatly missed. Also, Erica and Lilly were able to make it! Shane had to stay in Pullman though, he also has to work on Christmas Eve.
It was so much fun watching Addisyn and Lilly play. They are going to be such good friends as they grow up! They were able to take part in the gift exchange. If you ask me I think they came out with the best gifts, they got Mr. Potato Head Buddies! They entertained the family all night. As, usual though the girls always stayed close to there Papa and Nana. They truly are the apple of their eye.
At the end of the night after we had had desert and we were all sitting around, and some of the women were helping to get everything cleaned up, Addisyn was able to get some time in the spotlight. She showed off all her new tricks.
She performed for Aunt Mary in the kitchen as she danced with Grandma Great, sang the Itsy Bitsy Spider with Nana, and showed off her newest trick Crossing her fingers.

Dance Team is Over...

Well, after six long weeks, I am done. Though I really enjoyed the girls this year, I enjoy that extra few hours of sleep every morning. Waking up at 4:45am to get all ready for an hour of practice at 6:30am is too much work! This year our girls only had four competitions and then the Southridge Dance Festival. We lost our first two comps., then we came back and beat Carmichael, and tied with Chief Jo's A team. All-in-all our girls rocked. I am not 100% sure I am going to do it next year. It will be third year, but my assistant coach is going off to UofW, so if you know a someone that dances and wants to coach a group of hormonal middleschoolers, let me know.
